Voter Registration Deadline for Primary election is May 24, 2010 at 5:00 pm. 
Primary Election Day June 8, 2010 7:00 am - 7:00 pm 
Absentee Voting begins April 27, 2010 or as soon as ballots are available.

Nominating petitions for the offices of:

 

            Brule County Commissioner, District 1  (Townships of West Point, Union, Lyon, Plummer, Pukwana, Cleveland, Waldro, Willow Lake, Red Lake, Smith and Richland) -- 4 year term

            Brule County Commissioner, District 3 (Townships of America, Brule, Chamberlain, Eagle, Grandview, Ola, Pleasant Grove and Torrey Lake plus North Chamberlain Addition and South Chamberlain Addition--4 year term

            Brule County Commissioner, District 5 (Townships of Kimball Plainfield, Highland and Wilbur) -- 4 year term

                       

            Brule County Auditor  -- 4 year term

            Brule County Register of Deeds -- 4 year term

            Brule County Sheriff – 4 year term

                       

            Three delegates to Republican state convention

            Three delegates to Democratic state convertion

are filed in the office of the county auditor located in the county courthouse between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., local time.

            United States Representative -- 2 year term

           

            Governor – 4 year term

           

            South Dakota Senate -- 2 year term

            South Dakota House of Representative -- 2 year term

 

            Water Development District Directors -- 4 year term

            Heartland Consumers Power District Directors -- 6 year term

 

are filed in the office of the Secretary of State, State Capitol Building, Pierre, SD 57501, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

 

 The deadline for filing nominating petitions is March 30, 2010 at 5:00 p.m.  If a petition is mailed by registered mail by March 30, 2010, at 5:00 p.m., it shall be considered filed.
